genuinely knew and loved chickens

Hi there

I’ve just got back from holiday, and Simone was House sitting and most importantly, looking after my precious flock. As you may recall it’s a fairly complicated sit, in as much as a. There are some fairly complex medication and care needs and b. I’m pretty neurotic about them.

I have to say Simone was amazing; I asked you for someone who genuinely  knew and loved chickens not just someone to let them in and out and chuck food at them. And boy, she really does – and she loves wildlife too. I felt confident with her from the start. She combined a really good knowledge of chickens, chicken health  with a real love and affection for them.  She kept in touch throughout my holiday; sent me vids and pics and updates which meant I didn’t feel so far away from them; and she went above and beyond – cooking them treats and spending time with them; cleaning out their coops and she even picked some flowers and made some food for us for our return – and stripped and washed her bed. I was pretty gobsmacked. 

 …genuinely knew and loved chickensAnyway, thought I’d let you know how happy I am with your service, but also what a gem you have in Simone. She’s a keeper. Oh, and she’s also unflappable! It really was the first holiday away where I’ve actually felt able to relax and not wanted to come home early – and I’ve used House sitters before!
