The Crab Pot was originally a Look Out to watch for an enemy approaching Salcombe Harbour. It was built on the rocks in the south corner of South Sands which is the most southerly bay in the Salcombe estuary. It was converted to a well designed cottage ideal for a family holiday. It is approached down a public footpath which leads from the road above to the beach, or across the beach at low tide.
The cottage has two bedrooms: Master Bedroom - a 5ft double bed, wash basin and fitted cupboards. Second Bedroom - one 3ft bed and two well designed angled 2ft 6" beds, wash basin and fitted cupboards. There is also a 4ft sofa bed in the sitting room. The sitting area is designed to allow visitors to relax and enjoy the stunning views up the estuary. There is a brand new fully fitted kitchen and dining area, a new shower and separate WC. Each room has thermostatically controlled electric heating using modern storage heaters. The front door leads out onto the footpath from the hall area which includes an anti-sandy feet bath. There is a the small fully enclosed paved garden.
